This season of giving, have a holiday feast! A Holiday Feast capsule collection contains 3 bottles of 15ml artisan handmade fountain pen inks that take direct inspiration from Filipino dishes eaten during Christmas.
Tsokolate (hot chocolate), Puto Bumbong (purple sticky rice cake), and Bibingka (native Filipino rice cake) are all breakfast staples commonly served and enjoyed together after attending church.
Tsokolate (hot chocolate) may be common around the world, but its position during the Filipino holiday season is cemented as one of warmth and sweetness. Made of melted native cacao tablets, milk and sugar is added to give a rich and deliciously warm drink. This ink is a beautiful brown with warm undertones and a green sheen.
Puto Bumbong (purple rice cake cooked in bamboo) gets its name from two things: the type of rice cake they make (puto), and the way it is cooked in bamboo cylinders (bumbong), thus forming the elongated purple shape. It is served with coconut shavings and brown sugar. This ink is a deep purple with a brown sheen, finished on top with a coating of gold shimmer.
Bibingka (native Filipino rice cake) is a special type of rice cake that is baked in a terracotta pot lined with banana leaves. It is usually made with grated cheese, coconut shavings, and salted duck egg. This ink is a warm yellow with a red sheen, finished on top with a coating of silver shimmer.
