This pen is a tribute to the beauty and elegance of the irises that bloom between the end of April and the end of May in the historic Florentine garden, which is located near the Piazzale Michelangelo and offers a stunning view of the city.

The history of the so-called lily of Florence is controversial. It seems that it originated from a white iris, the Iris Florentina, which are abundantly in the Arno Valley during the Florentine Republic and which the people called ghiacciolo or icicle, for its white, slightly bluish color.

The iris is not only a symbol of Florence, but also of its rich history and culture. The lily was adopted as the emblem of the city in the 11th century, when it was used to decorate the banners and shields of the Florentine soldiers. The lily also represents wisdom, courage, and faith; qualities that have characterized Florence throughout the centuries.

Like previous limited collections in the Homo Sapiens series, Iris Garden is made from special semi-transparent demo resigns carefully selected by Viscontis designers.
