Introduction

Gaiola is a small two island formation near to our beloved Naples, in the Posilipo location, whose beautiful colors inspired us to commission production of this fountain pens semi-transparent resin.

Originally, the small island was known as Euplea, protector of safe navigation, and was the site of a small temple. The Latin word caveola (little cave) passed through the regions dialect to become Caviola and then Gaiola.

Sporting a gorgeous new and exclusive resin, custom stamped “Vesuvio”14k JoWo nib, and a gold plated 925 sterling silver cap band, the Gaiola is a stunning piece, sure to set itself apart as one of Gioia’s most sought-after limited editions.
