Herbins second 1798 ink is inspired by carnelian, a semi-precious stone prized by the ancient Egyptians for its vitality, calming powers, and ability to restore courage. Deep unsaturated colors with optimal pressure sensitivity, 1798 Inks are illuminated with shimmering flecks of silver for an elegant finish.

The ocher tint of Carnelian of Egypt, inspired by gemstones, is sublimated thanks to its silver glitter that shines a thousand lights. It brings warmth and elegance to different writings. This stone was already very popular in ancient times by the Egyptians who used to make jewels and ornaments for the most luxurious furniture.
