Pennonia Meggyes is a deeply saturated burgundy ink with exceptional flow and a bold, rich color profile. Despite its high saturation, the ink retains shading properties. The name translates simply to “Sour Cherry,” chosen in fond recollection of a childhood garden adorned with a magnificent sour cherry tree. The vibrant spectrum of colors, ranging from vivid red to nearly black, inspired the name. Fond memories include playfully wearing cherries as earrings, even though, ironically, the taste of sour cherries was never a personal favorite. “Meggy” specifically denotes this type of cherry.
