Dupont proudly launches their new Dragon Scales Line 2 collection, an homage to the Chinese New Year. 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, often considered the luckiest zodiac sign in Chinese culture. The Dragon is a majestic creature in Chinese folklore, symbolizing bravery, creativity, and innovation. S.T. Dupont pays tribute with their oldest and most treasured crafting technique ‘guilloche under lacquer’, offering an entirely new engraving, ‘Dragon Scales’.

Line D Eternity Large

The collection features the newly updated Line D Eternity large pen; recently remodeled with a new sword articulated clip, a lacquered Dupont ‘D’ in the crown of the cap and a perfectly balanced shape for exceptional writing. The engraved pen cap closes with Dupont’s iconic ‘cling’ and features a fluted grip section for a superb writing experience.

Also available in fountain pen with a newly designed S.T. Dupont 14kt gold nib featuring a wing design in F, M, and B nib widths.

Guilloche Technique

S.T. Dupont engineers engrave a series of Dragon Scales throughout thebarrel and cap of eachfountain pen using an engine turning process that engraves very precise and intricate geometric patterns into an underlying material.

Natural Lacquer

S.T. Dupont’s artisans then add layers of natural lacquer to the engravedpen in a months-long process involving many applications and polishing to impart depth and mystery to each finish. The engraved guilloche reflects light through the overlay of natural lacquer, creating a spectacular three dimensional display of color. The result is a collection of precious, hand lacqueredwriting instruments of exceptional beauty.
